Surviving 2012 - What will happen in year 2012? by Angela Perry

In the past years, there's been a lot of talk about December 12. 2012. What do the prophecies tell us and what can we do in order to survive if they are true?

There's been a lot of talk recently about what will happen in year 2012? There are many theories and predictions and many are talking about, if surviving 2012 is possible.

The ancient Mayans discovered that something would change in the year 2012. Some even believe that these changes will happen on a specific date, namely December 12. 2012. The Mayans used the solar system and the stars to create a very advanced calendar; the Long Count Mayan Calendar.

Scientist who has been studying the Mayans predictions, believe that the event that will happen in 2012 is pole shifting. This means that the South and North Pole will switch places, which could result in great disasters for our society, events such as giant tsunamis, hurricanes and earthquakes are only a tiny bit of what could happen.

So, if the Mayans and the scientist were right in their predictions, surviving 2012 will be a challenge and require some preparations, not only for the governments but also for the individuals.

However, the ancient Mayans weren't the only ones who predicted great changes in year 2012; Nostradamus, the Zulus and other ancient civilizations has also predicted that something big will happen.

Now, we cannot know for sure if anything will happen, but it's always better to be on the safe side. Therefore, I think you should consider taking some precautions. Make sure you have at least one month supplies of canned food for your whole family. Also, prepare some survival kits that are ready to go, if you and your loved ones are forced to leave suddenly.

>The Triple Goddess by Beau Hermes- The Triple Goddess is said to have been honored as early as 13,000 B.C. We've unfortunately been ruled by a patriarchal system over the last two thousand years. In the Hindu religion, the Triple Goddess was Parvati-Uma-Durga. In ancient Greece she was called Hebe-Hera-Hecate. In ancient Ireland she was Ana-Babd-Macha and the Druids had Diana Triformis.

>Maya Indians by Anthony Benjamin- The Maya Indian Civilization flourished from 250AD to 900AD; this is known as history's Classic Period; there were as many as one-million Maya Indians in Belize.

Between the Classic Period and Post-Classic Period the Maya Empire split into separate conflicting "City States," just like the Roman Empire, lasting until the Spanish Colonial Period in the early 1600's. Though not known why, there are many different reasons this split could have happened, such as, over population, a revolt, disease or drought. However, there is evidence that there was over population.
